These terms apply to all users of Elvatu, operated by Elvatu Private Limited, at https://elvatu.com. Please read them before booking sessions, requesting profile reviews, or using AI or Community features.

1. Agreement

Elvatu Private Limited ("Elvatu", "we", "us") operates https://elvatu.com and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false verification information, or misuse the Platform.

3. What the Platform provides

Elvatu is a marketplace and software platform operated by Elvatu Private Limited. We connect learners with independent mentors. We do not employ mentors and we do not guarantee hiring outcomes.

Current Platform features include:

  • Verified mentor profiles and booking of 1:1 mentorship sessions
  • Video sessions (typically via Google Meet when enabled)
  • Escrow-backed profile review requests between learners and mentors
  • In-app wallet, messaging, and service order tracking
  • AI Career Companion tools (including resume, interview, and chat features)
  • Community posts and discussions for signed-in users
  • Mentor availability, support tickets, and dispute reporting

4. Mentor verification

Mentors listed on the marketplace must complete our verification process, which may include LinkedIn profile review, PAN verification, and company email verification via OTP.

Verification confirms identity and employment details to the extent we can review submitted information. It is not a guarantee of future performance or advice quality.

5. Bookings and sessions

Session times, pricing, and packages are set by each mentor within Platform rules. Payment is required before a booking is confirmed unless otherwise shown at checkout.

Learners and mentors are expected to join sessions on time using the meeting link provided in the Platform or by email.

Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled according to options available in the dashboard and applicable order status.

Unpaid session orders may be automatically cancelled if payment is not completed within 24 hours.

6. Profile reviews and escrow

Profile review services are handled as service orders with escrow. Learner funds are held until the mentor submits proof of review and the learner confirms completion, or until a dispute is resolved through the Platform.

Learners may have a limited time window to confirm or dispute a submitted review, as shown in the product at the time of the request.

Mentors may, at their discretion, provide professional recommendations or introductions for candidates they believe are qualified. This never guarantees an interview, referral, or job offer.

7. AI features

AI tools on the Platform are powered by third-party AI services (including Google Gemini). Outputs are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

AI output is not legal, financial, or hiring advice. You are responsible for reviewing anything you use in applications, interviews, or public profiles.

Do not submit passwords, highly confidential employer information, or third-party personal data into AI tools without proper authorization.

8. Community and messaging

Community content and chat messages must comply with applicable law and Platform standards. You may not post harassment, spam, malware links, impersonation, or private payment or session details of other users.

We may remove content, restrict accounts, or report unlawful activity where required.

9. Payments

Payments are processed through our configured payment gateway (PayU or Razorpay, depending on production configuration). Card, UPI, and other methods available at checkout are handled by the gateway provider.

Eligible service payments may be held in Platform escrow until the service is completed and confirmed, or until a dispute is closed.

Mentor payouts are released according to completed and confirmed service orders, minus applicable platform fees shown in the product.

10. Refunds and disputes

Refund eligibility depends on order type, payment status, session outcome, and whether a valid dispute was raised in the Platform.

Use the in-app dispute and support flows for payment or service issues. We review cases based on order records, session status, and submitted evidence.

We do not guarantee refunds for services that were delivered and confirmed by the learner, except where required by law or explicitly approved after review.

11. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Bypass Platform payments or solicit off-platform payment for services booked through the Platform
  • Submit false credentials, resumes, or verification documents
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the Platform
  • Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent activity

12. Intellectual property

The Platform software, branding, and design are owned by Elvatu Private Limited. Mentors retain rights to their own materials. Users retain ownership of content they upload, but grant Elvatu Private Limited a license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Platform.

13. Disclaimers and liability

The Platform is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Mentors provide services in their personal professional capacity. Elvatu Private Limited is not responsible for mentor advice, AI-generated content, other users' community posts, or career results.

To the extent permitted by law, Elvatu Private Limited's total liability for a claim relating to a specific paid service is limited to the amount you paid for that service order.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes should first be raised through the Platform support process at support@elvatu.com.
